Museum Sasmitaloka - Yogyakarta

Formerly, this museum was a residence of Panglima Besar Jendral Sudirman, the first Indonesian general in Army service. Located at Bintaran Street, this museum collects and keeps many kinds of guns and other Indonesian's classic army instruments.

Prambanan Temple

Prambanan is one of the largest Hindu temples in south-east Asia. It is characterised by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple architecture, and by the 47m high central building inside a large complex of individual temples.



It is located in Central Java Indonesia, 18 km east of Yogyakarta.

Borobudur, Magelang - Yogyakarta

Borobudur is a Buddhist Monument in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The monument comprises six square platforms topped by three circular platforms, and is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. A main dome, located at the center of the top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues seated inside perforated stupa.

Dagadu Yogya

Dagadu is a famous local brand in Yogya, their valued souvenir most in the form of T-shirt with some funny words on it. This words are sometimes and I can say most of time pays attention people eyes.

Jalan Malioboro

Jalan Malioboro or in English "Malioboro Street" is a major shopping street in Yogyakarta, the name is also used more generally for the neighborhood around the street. It runs north from the Yogyakarta kraton (palace) towards the roads that lead to either Surakarta to the east, or Magelang to the north, as well as Mount Merapi. This is in itself is significant to many of the local population, the north south orientation between the palace and the volcano being of importance.



The street is the centre of Yogyakarta's largest tourist district; many hotels and restaurants are located nearby. Sidewalks on both sides of the street are crowded with small stalls selling a variety of goods. In the evening several open-air streetside restaurants, called lesehan, operate along the street.

Welcome to Yogya

Yogyakarta is the second smallest province in Indonesia and located in south-central Java. Yogyakarta city is known as a center of classical Javanese fine art and culture such as batik, ballet, drama, music, poetry and puppet shows. It is also famous as a center for Indonesian higher education. At Yogyakarta's center is the kraton, or Sultan's palace. While the city sprawls in all directions from the kraton, the core of the modern city is to the north.

Yogyakarta is served by Adisucipto International Airport. There're two train stations named Lempuyangan and Tugu. At south side, in Bantul region, there is a biggest bus station in Indonesia, called Giwangan.
